Made in the famous BIOT Pottery in the South of France this beautiful slip glazed green pitcher is truly a stunner and from research (I actually lived in Biot for a while and purchased this in a market there ) probably dates back to the 1950s or 60s. The classic green glaze is not meant to be perfect and is admired for its anomalies. All in all it’s the perfect addition to a French country styled kitchen. The Pottery mark BIOT is stamped in a square shape at the base of the handle. The piece is in great condition, but does have two barely noticeable chips to the glaze under the rim near the top of the handle and underneath the rim at the side (these are shown in the last two photos). They do in no way distract from its beauty, but instead adds character and charm. The pitcher is 21.5 cm high and with the handle is 22.5cm wide.
