This beautifully hand carved Arts & Crafts dark brown stained wood frame has developed a wonderful patina, befitting any form of beautiful art piece that you need framing. It comes with the original glass and the backing has been replaced with a new piece of composite wood. it also has two eye hooks and cord for hanging horizontally, tho it could be hung vertically with an easy modification. There are a few, what look to be old nail holes, evident on the corners (see photos) but this just adds to its character and charm. I feel this could be early vintage, or even antique due to its construction and patina. A truly stunning frame obviously made by a craftsman.
