A beautiful French made fish plate. Handpainted in blues, greens and yellow. With blue striped patterns around the edging and florals as the centrepiece. This is a large plate and measures 43cm at its longest in length. 19.5cm in width and just under 4cm high. The back is painted with the words, Faiencerie Peint Main This translates to hand painted earthenware. A stand out piece that does have some signs of wear. There is crazing and some chips on the edging of the fish. Please see my photos. There’s only one you can see front on. It’s got two holes in the back which would have been used to hang the plate.
