Stunning and rare 1980’s cicada wall vase, handpainted and decorated with olives on branches. A fantastic large piece measuring 26cm in length. Made by N.E.M in Provence, France. Can be used to hold fresh or dried flowers. The cicada, or Cigale, is a very traditional symbol in Provence, and represents good luck. Traditionally these wall vases were hung on the front doors of Provençal houses to bring good fortune and health to the home. This would make the perfect housewarming gift. This piece is in great vintage condition with no signs of wear. There’s a tiny area on one leaf where it looks as if the glaze slightly missed in production, but this is not significant. **Please do check the photos thoroughly as these form part of the description.** This item will be packaged very carefully and posted by Royal Mail tracked and signed for service....more
