This exquisite little ceramic spice jar is from the Birds and Blossom range by Lenox from the US made in 1994. They are highly collectable as each spice features a different species of bird and flower and the jars are designed in one four shapes. This is the Sage spice featuring a Goldfinch hovering amongst a purple budlia bush. There is gilding around the top, the lid and the base and the name and makers mark is all gilded too. It has an airtight rubber stopper to the lid to keep the spice fresh. It is in excellent condition and measures 9.5cm high and about 5cm across the widest part.
