Maling Peony Bowl Cobalt Lustreware 1930s

A beautiful 1930s Maling of Newcastle Upon Tyne, cobalt blue lustreware pedestal bowl. The bright blue brushstrokes present throughout this range are beautiful and the contrast of the cobalt blue paint against the pink floral detailing is a beautiful combination. Around the outside of the bowl is a decorative pink floral garland against a bright cobalt blue, exterior. The internal bowl has additional lustre and is a blue base with a floral decoration in the centre. The bowl has some very minor scratches on the base internally in the centre of the dish and these can be seen on images. They are very light so difficult to catch on pictures. There is crazing on the enamel in line with age. This lovely blue lustreware bowl measures 22cm width and 10cm height.
