Vintage MCM moulded plywood coal scuttle made by Mallod. Lightly refurbished. Constructed from teak veneer plywood. In good cosmetic used vintage condition, with age appropriate wear - this includes repairs to the plywood in various places, plus various cosmetic scratches and some minor chips, principally around the rim and at the bottom. The interior has been painted dark grey, using Fusion Mineral paint, before being finished with a varnish. The scuttle is perhaps best used for light storage duties only - as a stylish waste paper bin in the home office, or perhaps as an umbrella stand (for dry umbrellas only). The handles feature copper rivets. The bottom handle is fixed in-place. The top handle can either sit in a vertical or horizontal position.
