Vintage Coffee table or side table by Wanderwood of Norfolk, England c.1950-60 Rustic brutalist style. Impressive handmade coffee table in very good original condition. The table is made of solid oak. The thick organic nearly rounded top has a beautiful warm color. The tripod base is also made of solid oak and has 3 heavy feet. Wanderwood is more commonly known for their small and quirky ‘milking’ stools. Rare to find a table of this size from them Crafted from hardwood, evoke a more Primitive and purist form of carpentry. Each element of the table is hand whittled and irregular, giving it a charming rustic appearance. Furthermore, each of the legs is fixed to the underside of the seat using a simple join. Marked ‘Wanderwood’ underside. Condition: Very good structural and cosmetic condition. Cleaned and oiled.
