Sleek stylised silver plated figurine, designed in the 1970’s by Gunnar Cyren, for Dansk Designs. Streamlined and pared back, in keeping with Danish modernist design principles. Part of Dansk’s vintage animal collection. The giraffe is a nice modernist touch amongst other mid century decorative items. Surprisingly heavy for the size, and can be used as a paperweight or as display items. Made from electroplated zinc. The back has a textured finish that mimics the spots on a giraffe. It measures 14cm height x 2.5cm base width x 3.5cm base depth. Underside is stamped “Dansk International Designs Japan EPZ SO” The giraffe is in excellent used vintage condition.
