Absolutely stunning Scotch Whisky Messrs Renton and Coy located in Berwick on Tweed a beautiful design featuring bold colourful font in a selection of blue and red with a unique faded design around the wording in a detailed plaque with a fantastic Victorian pub scene featuring a group on gentlemen enjoying their drinks with a gold motif around the edging if a handsome border with golden design with the Scottish symbol on the thistle a unique opportunity to own a beautiful Scotch Whisky mirror. Sleek and attractive mid-coloured wooden frame. Mid-century design with few authentic signs of original patina. Renton was a grocer/merchant and a resident of Marygate, the main shopping street in the town, from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The 1901 census for Berwick upon Tweed lists his occupation as a grocer, but the Rentons were also entrepreneurs who blended, advertised, and sold their own brand of whisky. It was customary for local grocers to sell whisky directly out of a cask into customers' pitchers up through the 1880s. Messrs.
