Vintage galvanised metal milk bottle crate holder, as used by the milkman on the back of his delivery float. The crate dates from the 1950’s - 1960’s, before the introduction of lightweight plastic crates. Designed to hold a maximum of 20 milk bottles, in individual compartments. The crate is fully functional. It’s well made and built to last, from a thick gauge iron that has been galvanised.
