Vintage tin typewriter toy. Made by Mettoy in the 1950s. It has a hand operated type wheel and movable carriage, which works. When you select the letter you want and press the large key below the type wheel, a letter is printed on the paper above. Although the mechanism works, I think it needs a new ribbon as you can see the indent of the letter on the paper but no ink. Would be an ideal display piece. Bottom opens for storage space.
