A true 1950s classic. A teakwood cupboard / large sideboard, by Robin Day, 1950s for Hille. A large open cabinet with adjustable height internal shelving.Sliding doors allow for easy accessibility. This cabinet would be ideal for a home office, tv stand or storage sideboard in a dining room but has uses in many other rooms. Strong metal legs with original paint. Robin Day is one of the most significant British designers of the 20th century. He was best known for his injection-moulded polypropylene stacking chairs – more than 20 million of which have been manufactured – and his later collaboration with Habitat. He rose to prominence in 1951 when he came up with the seating for the Festival of Britain. In good unrestored condition, with only general light signs of age and wear.
