A superb quality piece of mid century furniture made by British manufacturer Herbert E Gibbs. Circa 1960s Simplistic & elegant design With sleek minimalist design and nice construction, this piece consists of 3 long spacious storage drawers sitting on tapering legs capped with heavy brass feet, the original brass drawers knobs are also still intact. The drawers are framed with a brass inlay finishing the whole piece off beautifully! Raised section at the back of the piece. Beautiful grain throughout The woods are Figured Tola (African Teak) and as you can see give a satisfying and striking appearance. The maker’s mark is still in place on the back of the drawers. The drawer interiors are clean An all round marvellous Mid-century Modern Chest that would look great in any room! Condition: Shows only minimal wear and tear, the worst being the left side of the chest. Light knocks, dents and scratches commensurate with age and previous use.
