Mid Century Convex Divergent Mirror

This mirror was manufactured in the 1950s by Shellcraft Productions Ltd in Blackpool. They were known for their chalk ware or por-cel ware hand painted plates. The frame of the mirror is por-cel ware and it is imprinted with the makers mark. It has also been repainted in gold at some point during it's lifetime as can be seen where the mirror meets the frame. There is a scroll type pattern outlined by a platted rope design around the frame. The gold paint has chipped off in a couple of places at the back of the frame but this won't be seen once hung. There is a hanging hook at the back. The mirror is convex or divergent, a popular feature of mirrors in the 1950s which is currently making a come back. It measures 35cm in diameter to the edges of the frame and has a frame depth of 3.5cm. It weighs over 2kg. It will be carefully packaged with used or reusable materials.
