This started life as a dressing table drawer - it's been reimagined as a piece of functional wall art, where small treasures can be displayed. The entire drawer has been painted in black furniture paint then decorated with hand painted translucent white magnolia and a vibrant Fairy Wren. Brass fixings will be added to the back to allow it to be wall hung and the entire piece is sealed with several layers of furniture varnish - this will protect it but care still needs to be taken, for example standing liquid and harsh cleaning products can damage the surfaces.
