The composition presents an interior setting, where a brown jug, red peppers, onions and a butter knife are laid on a wooden board, and placed in front of a window that overlooks a balcony balustrade. Distinct and rhythmic multi-directional brushstrokes fill the canvas, adding an expressive feel but also highlighting the objects’ three-dimensional qualities.
