Produced by Meredew, England. Late 1950s / early 1960s. In all likelihood a design by Alphons Loebenstein. Inspired by Italian design from the 1950s, which was extremely popular at the time. Finished in a high gloss maple veneer. original metal handles. Striking angular design. It is sat on a solid beech frame with splayed beech legs. Good storage, with 6 good sized drawers which have angular, modernist lines that gives the piece great depth and texture, with the high-gloss finish providing excellent light reflection. A desirable piece which would work equally well in a bedroom, modern hallway or lounge. superb original condition, the handles are also original with faux brass plated finish, some age related patina and wear to the handles which gives the piece some authenticity. Condition: Good Original condition. Cleaned As with all mid century and vintage furniture there will be signs of use.
