Mid Century Teak Bent Plywood Paper Waste Basket Coat Scuttle by Mallod, 1960s A mid-Century bent plywood coal scuttle which we believe was made by Mallod (no label is present but it’s absolutely their style). Ideal re-purposed as a waste-paper or storage bin. The distinctive square shape of the scuttle is nicely achieved by the bent teak plywood. The handle is hinged so it can be lowered to the front or back of the tray. Stunning and rare Scandinavian piece from the 1950s or 1960s, which would make a perfect container, pot holder or umbrella stand for the mid-century home. Condition: Original condition It shows signs of wear but that only adds to the look of it: expect there to be significant scratches and dings, and some chips to the rim.
