Mid Century Wood Ware Barrel Container

This laminated wood ware container was made around the 1960s by Lancraft. It was possible used as an ice bucket or biscuit barrel although it is a bit on the small side for either. It is in very good condition for its age with just one slight chip to the inner rim unnoticeable once the lid is in place. It has a finely crafted wooden external body made from a pattern of different toned rectangle shapes. The inner container is plastic and removable for easy cleaning. The lid and handle are chrome plated and the black knob handle at the top is a molded plastic acorn. The makers sticker is still in place on the under side of the lid. The outer measures about 15cm in diameter and 18cm to the top of the acorn. The inner container measures 11cm in diameter and 12cm high. A smart little container for a mid century styled home.
