Swedish ceramicist, Elsi Bourelius (1909-2001), created a range of beautiful pieces during her career, but none more iconic than the stunning flower girl vases she created for Jie. This wonderful example, in her blue glazed dress, with matching apron and hat, is a fine example. She stands at 19cm tall and you will see her vase opening in the main picture. Fill it with a couple of blooms and she is transformed from a simple figurine to a young woman holding a bouquet of flowers - such a simple, but stunning idea!
