This is a beautiful midcentury bust of a young girl, believed to date to the 1960s and carrying the original gallery’s sticker. The material appears to be plaster with a bronzed / graphite finish. It has a signature and number at the back - EIG.REJA.V 316. It stands around 17cm high. The label is from De Ryve and states Kunsthandel (Fine Art Dealer). Brugge is Bruges, Belgium and the address is today a chocolate shop. The piece has some age-related wear. Please look at the pictures closely to see examples of these spots. You will also see that the composition style means they are not visible when the piece is displayed. There is also a piece of damage above the signature and number, which has been stained.
