This large jug vase was made by the Moira Pottery Company. It has a wood effect pattern and is part of the Hillstonia range which were mainly meant for forcing bulbs and containing plants. It was produced somewhere between 1934 and 1972 when the company closed. Moira is still well known for its utilitarian earthenware. This would look great on a country kitchen table filled with dried flowers or maybe in the garden on the patio. It stands 24cm tall and 14cm diameter and is in great condition.
