A rarity in the UK… and probably dating from the 70-80s, this beauty comes from a famous pottery region in Nicaragua. This black clay pot/vase has been sgraffito’d (pattern etched into clay) with the Sanquine de Oriente Star (Christmas Star) design, which is famous to the region. It has been signed by the potter Alvaro Jerson Blus. Displays in stunning condition with no chips or cracks this is a lovely neutral piece to add to any decor. It stands at 19.5cm and is 10cm in diameter at it widest and is 3cm at the top making it possible to also use as a candle holder....more
