This is an original 60s Arkana dining set designed by Maurice Burke. Made of fibreglass shell seats on metal stands that have a spring swivel mechanism allowing you to rotate/swing side to side, all mechanisms work as they should.The table similarly has a metal base/stand with a fibreboard & Formica top,this does of course have a few blemishes after 60 years of use but is in very good condition generally with no staining to the surface,the chairs & table base have had a fresh coat of satin enamel paint & the seat cushion have been reupholstered in a period orange vinyl & as original have a Velcro fastening to the seat. The set is available to view at my showroom in Whitley Bay anytime, please take note that the space age design means this set sits a little lower than conventional, it measures; table height 65cm table diameter 120cm, chairs 52cm width, 57cm depth, back height 80cm & seat height 47cm....more
