A beautiful solid wood handpainted ottoman/trunk with vintage style decoupage. This is a very large, capacious trunk and heavy as it is made from solid wood. I have used a hardwearing mineral paint and the insets around the linenfold carving have been gilded with gold leaf. A sumptuous decoupage paper reminiscent of Dutch Old Master paintings gives the trunk an antique look. The whole has been finished with black wax for texture and extra durability.
