These are two striking vegetable dishes/tureens by Johnson Brothers. The bottom is stamped Pareek, Johnson Bros, England. Pareek is not the name of the pattern as it was applied to many designs made over the years. The base of the dish has a gold band running around the outside. The top of the dish has a floral pattern in lovely bright colours with a gold rim. The lid mimics the dish and is topped by a finial edged with gold. Both are in good condition. There is some faint crazing to the lids which would be expected with use. Fantastic for serving or display. The base measures 25 cm across and 7 cm high. With the lid the dish measures 15 cm to the top of the lid....more
