A hard to find pair of Vintage Japanese Satsuma Footed Moon Baskets likely dating from the early 20th Century they are 17cm high and the basket is 16cm in diameter with 4 gilded feet and a heart shaped cut out that forms the handle, one of the moon baskets is decorated with a hand painted green and gold Bamboo design on a beige background and the other one is decorated with a hand painted pink and green Cherry Blossom design on a beige background, there are signs of wear on the gilded feet of both vases also there is a tiny chip and crack on the point of the heart shaped recess of the Cherry Blossom Basket but it is consistent with its age and use and they are in great condition apart from that and would grace any home or collection, please see photographs for condition, ( price of these baskets reflects the chip and crack on the cherry blossom basket)...more
