Evocative of the 1970s and 80s a wonderful Poole Pottery ceramic lamp. It looks like it is out of a set of BBCs Play for Today series of the time- bohemian, modernist but with a certain English reserve, compared to the studio pottery of Arabia, for instance. The Paintress mark appears to be that of Carolyn Wills ( Walters) 1972 to 1979. Carolyn painted both Aegean and Delphis patterns. The Poole England stamp on this lampshade was in use from 1966 to 1980 Comes newly wired and tested, with E14 light fitting H 16cm (22cm to top of light fitting)...more
