Description: A charming looking decorative West German 1950s weather station in the stylized form of the Sputnik Satellite on a removable plinth. Should make a wonderful mid-century novelty in any home. Sold decorative use only. Height :21cm (8.2in) Materials: Plastic, metal Age: 1950s Condition report: Some expected signs of age include some general tarnishing seen on the metalwork throughout. Some scratches & scruffs seen in places on the clear Perspex orb. Please note: Lacking one middle small metal pin - one of 3 that keeps the chassis together, that was replaced by small screw fitting (see final photo). Functionality: Barometer & hygrometer seem to be functioning.
