A lovely vintage c.1950s Art Pottery vase by the Italian maker Procida Vietri. The vase is more for decoration as it has a very narrow opening at the top- it should hold a single stem. A pretty shape, wide at the base with a narrow, rounded neck, approx. 10cm tall and 8.5cm at the widest point. The vase is heavily textured, like sand with a slightly sharp feel and a light sandy colour. It is hand painted with fruit- yellow lemons and pear and a green fig- with leaves in between and bright blue trim. Very stylish, a good, handmade art piece. Clearly signed on the base 'Procida Vietri, Sorrento'. Please see all photos....more
