What a wonderful piece! This Dala horse has a black coat, hand-painted with a red, green and yellow traditional pattern. The sticker confirms that it is a vintage Nils Olsson piece and comes from Nusnäs, Sweden, where Nils and his brother, Jannes, starting crafting traditional Dala horses in 1928. It stands at an unusual 31cm tall and is 30cm long, making it a very large and rare example. In line with its vintage status it has some age and use-related wear. These are part of its history and charm and don’t distract from its beauty. Please look at the pictures carefully as they are part of my description - you are buying a vintage piece in age-appropriate condition.
