This Mintons plate is a beautiful example of 19th Century Victorian glazed pottery. Featuring an Octagonal shape with a stunning, intricate red and gold design, which looks modern even by today's standards! There are lots of interesting marks on the back, however the incised triangle containing a circle shows that this plate was made in 1878. In excellent condition, considering it is almost 150 years old! There are no chips or cracks, the colours are still very vibrant, there is crazing however this is to be expected of a piece this age.
