A rare and very pretty Doulton Burslum porcelain cake stand with a fixed porcelain foot. This beautiful single tier cake stand is decorated with cobalt blue edging, graduating into a white porcelain with a pretty floral decoration and old trim. The antique cake plate is stamped on the base with Doulton Burslum and based on the stamp used, this beautiful antique plate dates between 1895 and 1903. The reference would indicate that the year of production (D41 or D91) would be 1899. This beautiful rare Doulton has been very well cared for and loved, this is clear given the condition of the cake plate. Footed cake stands such as this really do look magnificent when in use so this would make a beautiful gift for a wedding, housewarming or as a lovely addition to an existing Doulton collection....more
