This rather retro happy shape is a rare find from the Kernat Pottery originating in the Haifa area of Israel. This particular style dates back to the 1960s and altho I’ve been able to find just a couple of other shapes that have sold in this retro back and orange striped style, I haven’t been able to find another in this gorgeous classic midcentury shape. She’s a lovely rarity to add to a MC pottery collection. This piece has a gorgeous speckled buttermilk cream base with a solid array of orange (looks quite red in some light) and black stripes in a lovely matt glaze. Stamped on base with Kernats makers mark. Standing at 17.1cms, 8.8cm at its widest and a neck opening of 4.5cms, this beauty os in great vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It has obviously been used as a vase as a bit of staining from water at the bottom interior (tho could come of with a good clean) Halloween Vase anyone 🎃🖤🧡❤️ If interested in international shipping, please DM me. Thank you. ....more
