This stunning 1970s handpainted stoneware coffee set exemplifies the output of the Celtic Pottery studio. It comprises a coffee pot, milk jug, sugar bowl, and six cups with saucers, all featuring the bold, contemporary 'folk' design that the company became famous for and contrasting matt brown and honey coloured glazes. This particular set depicts a mythical-looking horse. In fabulous vintage condition; just one tiny manufacturing flaw at the edge of one of the saucers which is shown in close-up. The coffee pot is 28cm high and has a capacity of 1.2L; the milk jug is 16cm high; the saucers have a diameter of 15cm; the cups have a diameter including handle of 12cm and height of 7cm; and the sugar pot is 5.5cm high and 9cm in diameter. #studiopottery #celticpottery #retrocoffeeset #70scoffeeset #retrostudioottery...more
