Lovely set of ceramic duck wall plaques - from the 1950s I think (based on the SylvaC Ware logo on each duck's wing). They have beautiful shades of teal and burnt orange and characterful open beaks! These are graduated in size, approximately: 25.5cm x 24cm 23cmx21cm 18.5cmx17cm As with all my vintage pieces these have evidence of their previous life - one duck has tiny scuffed areas where the glaze has had some wear - I've tried to photograph this but can't be easily shown. The glaze on two of the ducks has age related crazing and there are a few tiny spots of rogue green glaze but there are no chips or cracks to any duck. The back of the ducks are a little discoloured - I'm guessing they've spent their lives displayed in a room with an open fire which has caused this; they have been thoroughly cleaned. Please note, one wing tip has a small divot - this is under the clear glaze so was created in the clay during manufacture....more
