This antique wooden framed footstool has been reworked in our studio with a minimal twist on the traditional woven seat. The light wood frame has a lovely minimal silhouette with gently tapered legs and a rectangle seat. The turned wood frame has been sanded back, the original varnish removed, leaving the rustic untreated wood to contrast against the new addition of weave. The rope-work has been crafted by hand in cream cotton rope with a 5 by 5 square weave The wooden frame has some slight wear with age as photographed, please look closely at the photos as part of the description.
