A beautifully constructed Afromosia tallboy / chest of drawers designed by Richard Hornby for mid century furniture makers Fyne Ladye. Hornby and Fine Ladye produced exclusively high-end and quality furniture that was sold in department stores such as Harrods, Heals and Maple & Co. The tallboy features solid Afromosia drawer fronts and legs. Superb craftsmanship throughout, made from Afromosia teak, dovetail joints and carved recessed handles to each drawer. This tallboy has been gently cleaned but unrestored from when we have had it. The main signs of wear are to the top but these are consistent with age and use.
