*Royal Worcester Palissy Camellia/Iris Ginger Jar*

This is a lovely vintage lidded Royal Worcester Palissy Ginger Jar with a hard to find floral pattern (camellia and Iris). I’ve searched high and low but cannot find another single ginger jar with this exact combination of florals. The item measures approximately 9.5cm high by 9cm wide. The Palissy trademark was used between 1958 and 1976. Palissy Pottery was founded in 1946 in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. In 1958 The Royal Worcester Porcelain Company bought the Palissy works. Spode and Royal Worcester merged to form a new company in July 1976 known as Royal Worcester Spode and continued to use the name. Palissy was closed in 1989 and the pottery was demolished. Manufacturers mark on the base of the jar: A Royal Worcester Company Palissy England Est 1853 16-2 On the lid: 9-1 In excellent vintage condition and showing very minor signs of use and wear (commensurate with age). *Item are bought as seen.
