The sideboard underwent a thorough restoration process, beginning with the full stripping of its original finish to reveal the beautiful grain. The body of the cabinet was lime waxed, enhancing its natural allure, while layers of hard wax oil were applied to the top for protection. The barley twist legs and cross bar received a treatment of hard wax oil to accentuate the deep oak tones, adding a touch of sophistication. The interior, painted in a custom mix of cream paints by Dixie Belle, complements the rustic exterior and has been clear waxed for protection. The original drop handles, thoroughly cleaned, gracefully adorn the sideboard once more. This sideboard stands out with its unique blend of rustic charm and elegant details, featuring simple geometric carvings and barley twist legs.
