Being made from Oak the stool is weighty so offers a robust resistance to those in the habit of knocking over things with clumsy feet or an extra waggy tail. The reason English Oak (Quercus Robur) is used to create these unique pieces is not just because of the material is eco friendly and sourced sustainably but because it’s also incredibly beautiful and has a rich history as a material used to craft furniture and buildings in the UK dating back to the Middle Ages.
