Wooden rocking chair by Scandart with original seat pad covered in orange vinyl. Scandart produced contemporary furniture in High Wycombe in the early to mid 1960s. The cranked ladder back has 6 horizontal curved 'rungs'. The frame has flat stretchers to front and back and two spindles each side. The chair's rockers create a perfectly balanced, smooth movement. A very neat, attractive piece and a perfect example of Scandart's timeless style, in a timeless colour. In excellent vintage condition. As with all vintage items there are some light signs of wear to the frame. But nothing that detracts from the functionality and aesthetic appeal of this piece.
