This simple and elegant set of 4 cups and saucers were made in 1977 by Lancaster Vitramic of Hornsea England. The 'Contrast' design became an icon of the era winning a British Design Council award. It features a stunning velvety chocolate brown glaze with a black gloss band and bright white interior as well as porthole handles. The cups measure 6.8cm high, 8.5cm in diameter and have a 250ml capacity. The saucers are predominantly white with two tone brown and white border and a diameter of 15cm.
