A true 1950s classic. A teakwood cupboard / small sideboard, by Robin Day, 1950s for Hille. A large open cabinet with adjustable heigh internal shelving. Sliding doors allow for easy accessibility. This cabinet would be ideal for a home office, but has uses in many other rooms. Strong metal legs with original paint. A small hole has been put (probably for a cable) in the back of the sideboard. Robin Day is one of the most significant British designers of the 20th century. He was best known for his injection-moulded polypropylene stacking chairs – more than 20 million of which have been manufactured – and his later collaboration with Habitat. In good unrestored condition, with only general light signs of age and wear. Please note black ring mark on the top of the sideboard. Please review the photos - happy to answer any questions.
