Exquisitely detailed silver plated shot/spirit measuring cups in the shape of equestrian riding boots. Produced in the 1960s by Grenadier Silversmiths, a family company based in Walsall, UK. The company was established in the early to mid 1900s and was renowned for its intricate and high quality silver work producing a variety of items such as goblets and candelabras among others. These gorgeous little measuring cups are stamped with the Grenadier mark and have plastic inserts which are in good condition, although they obviously show some signs of use. Overall height of each boot is 9cm. Each boot has a different size insert. The larger one is 8.8cm and the other is 6.9cm. The combined weight is approximately 530g. This lovely piece is perfect for collectors of vintage/retro barware and also those who just appreciate quality silversmithing and quirky vintage charm....more
