Six 1930s Desert Bowls with Colourful Birds

Set of Six 1930s Small Cream Bowls with Colourful Orange, Yellow and Green Birds and Flowers by Staffordshire Pottery. The Bowls measure: 15cm Diameter, 11.5cm Opening, 3cm Height, 7cm Base What can we say, we are always drawn to colourful birds! These are perhaps an artist's impression of a pair of parrots, and perfectly match the floral design. The simplicity of using a gently detailed edge gives a pretty touch to these dessert bowls - are probably a little smaller than we would typically use now, but are all the more elegant for it. As always, we have picked these bowls as they will be equally at home in a retro or modern aesthetic. The bowls are in excellent vintage condition, but please note that one bowl has a dark spot on the edge - which looks to have been caused during the glazing process.
