Candleholder designed by Jens Harald Quistgaard for Dansk Design in the 1960s. Spike design for larger candles. It comes with the original yellow candle - from the 1970s - which is unused but has some signs of travel. See photographs. (‘spike’ candles are sold separately too - in orange or natural and in soya wax) Quistgaard, a Danish designer and sculpter, he remained the head designer for the company, for over three decades. His designs brought the cool of Scandinavian design in homeware to America and Japan in the 1960s through to the 1980s.
