A stunning midnight blue jug with hints of purple, finished in a deeply glossy glaze. This is an older stoneware water jug or flagon dating to between 1915 and 1930 by Denby Potteries. It has a wonderful shape with a chunky body and angular handle shaped from the spout. The backstamp is stencilled in black and reads: Bourne, Denby, England. Approximately 15cm tall and 12cm wide.
