Vintage carpenter box storage coffee table, sitting on hairpin legs. Hand painted in soft sage. It’s a hand made box, dating from the 1960’s - 1970’s. Made from solid wood and ply. It’s far from pristine, as it was used daily as part of the carpenters’ trade. The table oozes rustic vintage charm, with its full history proudly on display, in the various scars that have accumulated over the years. No doubt each bump tells a story. The outside has been painted and finished with several coats of matt varnish to aid durability. The Inside has been painted in Inca Orange. An old leather belt secures the lid in place. The generous interior gives lots of forage space. Overall measurements are height 41.5cm x width 76cm x depth 40.5cm. Legs will be unscrewed to enable safe transit.
